I passed by a graveyard today.
It was sunny, quiet, breezy.
It wasn’t sad, because nobody died,
and there wasn’t a funeral.
Just tombs and stones,
Flowers and silence.
It wasn’t sad, and you mustn’t be either.
We choose how we live,
Though not how we die,
Nor can we save,
the ones who must go.
Though death may be grim,
This isn’t a grim place.
It’s a place of peace,
A place to remember,
The ones who are gone,
And where you should remember,
Even though alone,
YOU have time to give,
So don’t waste it. Live.
Nicely penned.
